Hide iMessage alerts
The iPhone has a feature called “Hide Alerts” that allows you to mute incoming notifications. You can turn this feature on or off depending on your preference. When turned on, the Messages app will no longer show you any alerts on your Lock Screen. In addition, you can also mute specific chats. This feature is useful if you have a lot of contacts or you don’t want to see random messages from people you don’t know.

Hide Alerts is a small icon on the right side of the Messages screen. When you tap it, it will give you options on the left and right. As you’ll see in the image below, the first option is the Notifications option.
The second option is the Messages option. It will give you a list of contacts and message threads. For example, you’ll see that there is a group text message you can access by tapping the Alerts button.
Unblock This Caller
If you have received text messages from a number that you have blocked on your iPhone, you may be able to unblock it. This is a very simple process that can save you a lot of frustration. However, before you try to do this, you need to know a few important steps.
First, open the Messages app. Once you’ve opened the app, scroll down to the bottom of the screen and tap on Blocked Contacts. Then, select the contact that you want to block. You will see an ‘i’ icon next to the name. Tap this and you will be able to choose to Block, Unblock or Edit the contact.
Next, open Settings. You will then be able to view your list of Blocked Contacts. In this list, you will find all the contacts that you have blocked.
To block a contact, you need to select a phone number. To block a contact, you need to be in the Messages app.
Block a number
If you have an iPhone, you have probably seen the ‘Block’ and ‘Unblock’ icons on your home screen. In fact, Apple has implemented system-level text and call blocking into the operating system, so you don’t have to rely on third-party software or hardware to do the job.

Reporting a spam text is a good way to help other people. When you do, you’ll also help Apple clean up its texting ecosystem. Besides helping other people, reporting spam can prevent future spam attempts.
Another helpful feature is the ability to block spam texts. Blocking texts from your carrier won’t affect your text charges.
